Appendicitis Surgery

The appendix is a tube-like structure organ that protrudes out from the colon attached to the large intestine which is located in the right corner of your lower stomach. It is said that initially, for the first few years after birth, the appendix plays a role in the development of the immune system, but it is not known how it functions.

However, it can cause certain health complications like appendicitis, a sudden inflammation of this appendix organ. Appendicitis can affect anyone, but children and adults between the ages of 10 and 30 years tend to be affected the most. Appendicitis is usually treated surgically by removing the appendix.

Adenomyosis Treatment

Adenomyosis is a painful condition that occurs when the endometrium, the inner uterus lining grows thicker and breaks through the myometrium the outer muscle wall of the uterus. This extra tissue makes the uterus enlarge double or triple in size and results in abnormal uterine bleeding and heavy & painful periods during every menstrual cycle.

One can experience the condition across the entire uterus or in a single spot. The cause of adenomyosis is not clear, but the condition often disappears after menopause. Many treatment options are available at Matrusri Hospital for women who are experiencing severe discomfort due to adenomyosis.

Though adenomyosis is not considered a life-threatening condition, excessive bleeding and frequent pain can decrease the quality of life of a woman.
